We’re going to let you in on a little secret: What you put underneath your human hair wig can impact what your wig looks like once it’s secured in place.
Wig grips are one of the most popular methods for securing a wig. They are perfect for women with or without hair and are easy to use.

Our wigs have adjustable straps attached and also come in different sizes, so we will first measure your head circumference to ensure the perfect fit.

We will also provide you with an adjustable velvet wig grip that secures with a velcro tab, in a colour that matches your chosen human hair wig (black or brown for darker, brunette shades, nude for lighter, blonde shades).
Our velvet wig grips for women are made of soft velvet fabric to make it super breathable, especially in summer. A grip can make wearing a wig more comfortable because it gets rid of the need for tapes, glues, and clips. It can also give you more confidence while wearing a wig on windy days or a night out.

Here’s how to put on your velvet wig grip and human hair wig…
- Put the velvet wig grip around your head, using the velcro to secure the grip.
- Next up, do the four finger test. Use four fingers from your eyebrows to your top forehead to measure where to place the grip. The wig grip should be lying in the position of your fourth finger.
- Position the front of the wig over your forehead, and slide the wig on from the front. We find it easier to put the wig on from the front as you know where your natural hair line/ pathing is.
- Push the front of the wig back till it rests slightly below the natural hairline.
- Centre the wig by positioning the ear tabs on either side in front of your ears, never covering them.
- When the wig feels comfortable, tuck in any loose hairs.
- Use a paddle brush, wide tooth comb, or wig comb and run the brush through the hair.
- Brush halfway down first, running the brush in one direction. Then repeat from the root downwards.
- Don’t be alarmed if you see some hair fall as wigs by Tymeless Necessity Hair are made medium to high density (meaning we add more strands than you need).

Our velvet wig grips, which are imported, are so easy to put on and take off. Best of all, unlike some other wig grips on the market, ours won’t rip out your hair when you remove them, and work really well for women and children who are trying to regrow hair. In addition, our velvet wig grips alleviate pressure and can help with headaches or pain!
